This week’s gin comes courtesy of Gloucestershire based Twisting Spirits who got our attention from the minute we spotted their bottle! Bold, blocky & very clever in the detail, the bottles are shaded to represent the quantities and
They launched back in 2017 with the ambition of creating distinctive and unusual Craft Gins and that’s exactly what they have accomplished with this one. They started off distilling in their tiny converted garage in Oxfordshire before expanding to their larger unit in Gloucestershire.
What we particularly love about this brand is that they still
The alcohol and ten botanicals (2 are pictured) are slowly distilled in a traditional copper alembic pot still. You have your usual botanicals in here along with an emphasis on kaffir lime & lemongrass. This is then diluted with pure water to a drinkable 41.5% where the
Meanwhile, the lighter
NOSE – citronella with a hint of floral.
TASTE – cardamon is present with the kaffir lime shortly following.
We have served ours with Schweppes Cucumber Tonic with a chunky slice of lime for an extra refreshing finish, this will most definitely be our go-to drink for summer! It reminds us of your classic Hendricks but with a
